Elizabeth Shaw Mint Crisp

*
The Mint Crisp was invented by Elizabeth Shaw when her family was struggling financially. Adapting an American recipe for mint flavoured chocolate honeycomb crisp she made batches of mint crisp on her sister's stove, selling it in the family shop. Although the company now produce a wide range of chocolates such as Famous Names liqueur chocolates, Vodka shots, and Truffles, the crisp range, including orange crisp, remains their defining product.

Mint Crisps are sold in golden octagonal cardboard boxes, with a clear lid. Their packaging is described, by some as evoking a timeless elegance and luxury. The 32 chocolates are arranged in a wheel formation, and are each individually wrapped in gold-coloured paper embossed with the blue Elizabeth Shaw signature.
